Speaker Series

The Chesapeake Public Schools Educational Foundation is proud to support professional development for Chesapeake Public School employees. In 2019, we kicked off the Chesapeake Public Schools Speaker Series with Mr. Ron Clark. Since then, we have sponsored Dr. Richard Milner, George Couros, and most recently, Gerry Brooks, to present to our staff about equity and innovation respectively.

Continuous learning and professional development are critical for teachers, but these training opportunities are costly and often limited. Chesapeake Public School Educational Foundation continuously looks for opportunities to provide professional development opportunities for teachers who show promise and have the eagerness to further their knowledge of effective practices that will result in academic gains for our students. Our speaker series brings professional development to the teachers and administrators where they can listen to a variety of presenters and are able to learn, be inspired and head back to the classroom with new motivation.
